Coaches Tab Cheyney 8th
The PSAC Football Coaches tabbed the Wolves to finish eighth in the East Division in a pre-season poll that was released earlier today by the conference office at the Annual Media Day gathering.
Bloomsburg was picked to win the East, while Gannon was selected as the team most likely to capture the Western Division title.
Rounding out the East in the number two spot was West Chester. East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg were predicted to finish tied for third. Kutztown earned the fifth spot with Lock Haven and Millersville tied for sixth.
In the West, Slippery Rock, Mercyhurst and California were predicted to finish two, three and four. Rounding out the top eight were IUP, Seton Hill, Edinboro and Clarion.
The Wolves open the 2015 campaign with the "Annual Battle of the Firsts." The grid iron classic against Lincoln has been an opening game staple for both schools the last couple of seasons. The Wolves and Lions will tangle in O'Shields-Stevenson Stadium on the Cheyney University campus at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 5th.
